Tour's Itinerary
  • Day 1 Departure to Europe

    Departure from your local international airport in the USA. This afternoon, we will begin our journey to Europe. Meals will be served during our overnight flight.

  • Day 2 Arrival in Lisbon and Transfer to the Hotel

    Upon arrival in Lisbon, we will meet our professional tour manager at the airport and head to our bus waiting to drive us to the hotel. We will arrive in Mestre with enough time to check-in at the hotel, have dinner, and spend the night. Welcome to Portugal.

  • Day 3 Tour of Lisbon

    Breakfast. In the morning, we will take a city tour of Lisbon. Highlights include the Belem Tower, Jerónimos Monastery, St. Anthony's Church, and Commerce Square. We will have dinner at the hotel, and attend the Torchlight Procession. Overnight stay.

  • Day 4 Visit to the Stations of the Cross and Sanctuary of Fatima

    Breakfast. In the morning, we will walk the Stations of the Cross along the road of Valinhos, from the roundabout of the shepherds to the village of Aljustrel. We will visit the houses of the shepherds. In the afternoon, we will visit the Sanctuary with time to attend the religious events. Dinner at the hotel and Torchlight Procession. Overnight stay.

  • Day 5 Tour of Porto and Journey to Santiago

    Breakfast. We will depart for Porto. Upon arrival, we will enjoy a panoramic tour to discover this beautiful Portuguese city. We will see the Dom Luis I Bridge, the Church of Commerce, the train station, the Bolsa Palace, and the Church of San Francisco, among other monuments. The visit will be completed with a walk through the city center. In the afternoon, we will continue our journey to Santiago. Arrival, dinner, and overnight stay.

  • Day 6 Visit to Santiago City and the Cathedral

    Breakfast. In the morning, we will have a guided tour to explore the city and its main monuments. We will visit the Cathedral and attend the Pilgrim’s Mass. The tomb of the Apostle James is located in the cathedral. In the afternoon, we will depart for Santander. Dinner and overnight stay.

  • Day 7 Visit to Loyola and Lourdes

    Breakfast. We will depart for Loyola to visit the House Castle where St. Ignatius of Loyola was born and spent his early years. We will also visit the Baroque Basilica built by the Jesuit Order. After this visit, we will continue our journey to Lourdes. Arrival, dinner, and overnight stay. In the evening, we will have a first visit to the cave where the Virgin appeared and participate in the Torchlight Procession.

  • Day 8 Day Dedicated to the Sanctuary of Lourdes

    Breakfast. A day dedicated to deeply exploring the Sanctuary of Lourdes. We will visit the Basilica of St. Pius X, which has the capacity to hold thousands of pilgrims, the Lower Basilica dedicated to Our Lady of the Rosary, the Grotto, and the rest of the Sanctuary's facilities. We will also have time to leave the Sanctuary and visit the most significant places in the life of St. Bernadette, such as the mill where she lived with her family, the prison where they had to stay for a time, and the Parish Church where they attended. In the afternoon, we will continue with visits and free time. Dinner and overnight stay.

  • Day 9 Visit to Zaragoza and Travel to Madrid

    Breakfast. We will depart for Zaragoza. In the morning, we will visit Zaragoza, starting with the Alfarería Palace, a monument declared a World Heritage Monument reflecting the splendor of the Muslim kings who lived there. Then, we will continue our visit to the Basilica del Pilar, the first Marian Sanctuary in history. We will have free time. In the afternoon, we will continue our journey to Madrid. We will check-in at the hotel, have dinner, and overnight stay.

  • Day 10 Travel to San Giovanni Rotondo

    Breakfast. We will depart for Madrid Airport to board the flight to Naples or Bari. From there, we will travel to San Giovanni Rotondo. Upon arrival, we will transfer to the hotel, have dinner, and overnight stay.

  • Day 11 Visit to the Sanctuary of Padre Pio

    Breakfast. In the morning, we will visit the Sanctuary of Padre Pio. St. Pio of Pietrelcina is one of the most venerated, beloved, and transcendent figures of modern Christianity. We will visit the Church of Santa Maria delle Grazie, the parish and church where Pio celebrated Mass and attended, as well as the museum house and the great basilica where the incorruptible body of the Capuchin friar rests. During the morning, we will have the opportunity to pray personally at his tomb, as well as attend Holy Eucharist to ask for intercession and graces from St. Pio. In the afternoon, we will take a short excursion to the nearby village of San Angelo, in the Gargano mountain, where other emblematic pilgrimage sites in Italy are located. We will visit the Grotto of St. Michael. Afterward, we will return to the hotel, have dinner, and overnight stay.

  • Day 12 Travel to Rome and Classic Rome Tour

    Breakfast at the hotel, then depart for Rome. Upon arrival, we will head to the area around the Colosseum to begin a walking tour of classical Rome. We will see the exterior of the grand symbol of the city of Rome, the Colosseum, continue with the Arch of Constantine and the Imperial Forums. We will climb the Capitoline Hill and finish at the beautiful Piazza Venezia at the foot of the impressive Altare della Patria. After some free time, we will continue the tour on foot through Baroque Rome, walking through Rome’s most famous squares, including Piazza di Spagna, the Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon, and Piazza Navona. We will have free time before heading to our hotel for rest.

  • Day 13 Visit to Assisi

    Breakfast at the hotel. We will depart for Assisi. Upon arrival, we will ascend to the upper part of the city to start a panoramic walking tour. Our first visit will be to the Church of St. Clare, where we will have the opportunity to venerate the body of St. Clare of Assisi, a close friend of St. Francis, who is buried in the crypt of this beautiful church. We will also venerate the Cross of San Damiano, which is also located in this church. We will continue our walking tour through the medieval streets and squares of Assisi, heading to the Church of Santa Maria la Mayor. We will continue our visit in Assisi and finish at the Basilica of St. Francis. In this basilica dedicated to St. Francis, we will find the saint’s tomb. We will dedicate time to visiting both the Upper and Lower Basilicas, culminating with personal prayer and the celebration of Holy Eucharist. Before returning to Rome, we will visit the nearby town of Santa Maria degli Angeli, home to the Great Basilica where the Porciúncula is located, the small church that St. Francis rebuilt. After the visit, we will return to Rome.

  • Day 14 Christian Rome Tour

    Breakfast at the hotel. We will begin the day by visiting Christian Rome. First, we will exit the Roman walls to see some of the city's catacombs. We will go to St. Peter's Square to attend the audience. Afterward, we will continue our visit to the main basilicas of the city, starting with the Basilica of St. Paul Outside the Walls, where the tomb of the Apostle Paul is located, the apostle of the gentiles. We will also visit the Basilica of St. John Lateran, the mother church of all churches in Rome and the world. We will continue the Christian Rome tour at the Sancta Sanctorum; beside St. John Lateran, we find the Holy Stairs, the stairway from the Jerusalem praetorium that was brought to Rome, the same stairs that Jesus Himself ascended. The tour will end at one of the major basilicas, the Basilica of St. Mary Major, where we will also find the relic of the manger from Bethlehem. After the visits, there will be free time and then transfer to the hotel to rest.

  • Day 15 Visit to the Vatican Museums and St. Peter's Basilica

    Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the Vatican. Visit to the Vatican Museums. During the visit to the museums, we will also visit another of the Vatican’s jewels and landmarks, the Sistine Chapel, a masterpiece by Michelangelo, and the place where the papal conclave is held to elect the Pope. The visit will end inside St. Peter's Basilica, where, as pilgrims, we will have the chance to make our prayers and present our intentions at the Altars of St. Joseph, the Chapel of the Blessed Sacrament, the Altar of St. John XXIII, or the Altar of St. Sebastian, where the tomb of St. John Paul II is located. Those who wish can also go down to the tombs of the Popes. After the visit, there will be free time. We will return to the hotel to rest.

  • Day 16 "Arrivederci" to Italy

    Breakfast at the hotel. We will say "Arrivederci" to Italy and our professional tour manager as we transfer to the airport in Rome to begin our journey home. Welcome home!
